The Challenge

With a workforce ranging from trainees to senior commercial leaders, Tarmac needed a way to deliver consistent, trackable commercial and contractual training at scale. Specifically, the business needed a learning platform that could:

  • Provide a single learning management system where previously none existed.
  • Cover a broad range of contract and commercial topics, including NEC3 and NEC4 training, JCT training, health and safety, and construction management.
  • Support competency frameworks to structure development across different roles and experience levels.
  • Allow Tarmac to mandate essential courses, such as full NEC training, for specific teams.
  • Give managers visibility of training take-up and engagement through analytics.
  • Offer flexible, on-demand learning that staff could fit around project workloads and revisit whenever needed.
