National Grid Ventures is responsible for managing the operational contracts that keep its interconnectors running. Before implementing FastDraft, contract management activities were largely managed through email, phone calls and written correspondence.

According to Chris Page, one of the biggest challenges with this approach was retaining information when people moved roles or left the business. As National Grid Ventures began rolling out FastDraft, the team also discovered just how much information had previously been stored across different locations and systems.

“We were wholly reliant on email, phone calls, letters. And the real challenge there was when people left the business or moved to different parts of the business, we would lose all that information.”
