Types of construction contract and tendering

The aim of this course is to understand the different types of construction contracts and how they affect the tendering process.

After studying this course, you should be able to:

1. Understand the difference between lump sum, cost plus and target cost contracts
2. Explain single-stage and two-stage tendering, early contractor involvement and BIM
3. Understand the difference between traditional and design & build contracts
4. Explain how a tender for each of the various contracts is put together
