RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC): Ethics, Rules of Conduct and Professionalism

In this course, we will cover the Level 3 Mandatory Competencies: Ethics, Rules of Conduct and Professionalism. This is the only competency which can lead to an automatic referral in your final assessment interview, so getting it right the first time is essential.

We will cover a variety of topics including:

• Rules of Conduct
• Relevant RICS Professional Statements and Guidance Notes, e.g. relating to conflicts of interest
• 5th Anti Money Laundering Directive
• Bribery Act 2010

After completing this module, you will be able to:-

1. Understand the knowledge & experience required for the Ethics, Rules of Conduct and Professionalism competency
2. Record your knowledge & examples of experience in your Summary of Experience
3. Apply your knowledge to your Case Study and your CPD record
4. Understand why ethics is integral to being a Chartered Surveyor
