Adjudication is a statutory right in the UK, and as such, it is where most disputes go to get resolved. This costs money. This wastes time. This ruins relationships. The NEC4 ECC contract has option W3, which permits the parties to use a Dispute Avoidance Board to… avoid disputes. In the UK however, this option cannot be used without bespoke amendments. In this session, our speaker will discuss how option W3 can be successfully implemented on UK projects to reduce the likelihood of expensive disputes crystalising.
