Increasing climate change impacts and rising infrastructure costs mean that planning how communities manage and meet their water needs is increasingly important. Because of this, One Water planning and water reuse projects are integral to meet future water management challenges. 

This course goes deeper into the One Water approach, along with the future of water reuse and its benefits.

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

1. Understand the principles and benefits of the One Water approach, including the integration of diverse water sources such as rainfall, impaired groundwater, and treated wastewater for sustainable water supply
2. Identify the importance of developing drought-proof water supplies through water reuse and the associated environmental, social, and economic benefits
3. Understand the necessity of diversifying water sources to enhance community resilience against changing weather patterns and drought risks
