The Challenge

Before adopting FastDraft CMS, Sacyr used traditional means of contract management - primarily spreadsheets and emails. This approach, as well as the nature of the project presented several challenges for Sacyr, including:

  • Complex Contractual Requirements: As a healthcare infrastructure project, it required compliance with stringent NHS standards and regulations, demanding precise contract management to mitigate risks.
  • Multi-Stakeholder Coordination: The involvement of various stakeholders, including healthcare providers, construction teams, and community representatives, necessitated streamlined communication and collaboration.
  • Missing Documents: Using the traditional methods could mean that documents run the risk of going missing in long email threads or in historical laptop files.

Security Issues: Working with a public sector client meant Sacyr’s needed to meet a number of security requirements which the traditional systems simply didn’t adhere to.

The BI Toolkit Solution

Sacyr chose FastDraft as the best tool to address these challenges and support the efficient delivery of this vital healthcare project.

How FastDraft™ Helped:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Automated workflows for NEC, JCT, FIDIC, and bespoke contracts with custom approval processes ensured alignment with healthcare-specific standards, reducing the likelihood of non-compliance.
  • Real-Time Reporting and Insights: FastDraft™ provided dynamic dashboards, enabling the project team to track performance, milestones, and financial metrics seamlessly.
  • Enhanced Collaboration: By centralising communication, FastDraft™ facilitated collaboration among stakeholders, minimising delays and ensuring alignment across teams.
  • Integration with Existing Tech Stack: Using a dedicated CMS meant that Sacyr could take advantage of BI's Integration Hub and create custom integrations with their existing tech stack; which in this case was AutoDesk ACC.
  • ISO Accreditation: Using a system with ISO27001 accreditation meant that Sacyr were at the cutting edge of organisational security with their CMS, mitigating security risks and meeting client/project requirements.
